This scene is really short, Charles forced Gina to sex with a blackmail. She enters into a sexual arrangement/deal with the character Charles (played by David Calder): she offers herself sexually (described in analyses and reviews as a sacrifice or quid pro quo so he will take the role of Gloucester and allow the group’s King Lear production to continue).

In a difficult situation, we see that the man’s goal remains sex. The scene is quite poignant, as she tries to strike a friendly deal to keep the group’s morale up, and asks him only to have sex with her.
